Heirloom Leather

The Heirloom Leather Collection - Quality and long lasting homemade leathergoods

Jim Pollock a retired stockman learned the craft of plaiting leather while living and working in the remote stock camps on vast cattle stations in the Northern Territory and the rugged Kimberlies of Western Australia.

Plaiting Leather was the ontl thing Jim as something to do apart from his work. In his spare time pleasure was taken in working out different plaits and knots with the Kangaroo thonging kept in the camp for basic repairs of saddles and bridles.

Now retired Jim lives in a small country town in South Australia and spends his days plaiting kangaroo leather into whips, belts hatband, key rings and pens.

Jim and Trish will have a full stall of homemade leather goods including - Whips, belts, hat bands and Trish's beautiful Carved leather goods are a specialty.

If we are all really nice to Jim we may get a whip making lesson or two also.

Make sure to visit and say g'day
